How to Measure T-Shirts
To properly measure t shirt size, lay the t-shirt flat on a smooth, hard surface, making sure it is fully extended with no wrinkles or creases. Follow this t shirt measurement guide for perfect t-shirt measurements.
Chest Width: For the right t shirt chest measurement, start across the shirt from one underarm seam to the other at the widest point of the shirt.
T-shirt Length: To measure t shirt length, start from the highest point of the collar straight down to the bottom hem of the shirt.
Long Sleeve Length: Measure from the center back of your neck to the end of your shoulder.
Short Sleeve Length: Measure from the center back of your neck to the end of your shoulder.
Armhole: Measure around the armhole starting from the shoulder joint to the underarm area.
Shoulder Width: Measure straight across from one shoulder seam to the other.
Collar Width: Measure the width of the collar from the seam to the edge of the collar.
Chest Pocket: For the chest pocket, make an intersection of lines, one from the shoulder seam to the bottom and second from the bottom armhole seam to the other one.
Sleeve Hem: Measure from the bottom of the hem to where it attaches to the sleeve.
Bottom Hem: Measure from the bottom of the hem to where it attaches to the shirt.
