Dress Shirt Measurement Guide
Keep the dress shirt as straight as possible. There must be no wrinkles on it. Avoid using surfaces coated in fabric. It must be as level as the board.
After selecting a shirt that fits and feels good on you, take your measurements according to the chart below:
Collar: Lay the collar flat and measure from the button’s center to the button hole’s center.
Chest: Put the shirt on a flat, smooth surface and fasten the buttons. Just below the sleeves, measure around the broadest area of the chest.
Shirt Length: From the neck seam to the bottom of the shirt, measure the shirt’s length.
Hip: Measure from the left to the right edge of the shirt, ignoring any seams at the bottom.
Arm: Measure from the outside of the sleeve to the shoulder seam.
Sleeves: Lay the sleeve flat and measure from the wrist’s end to the shoulder seam.
Back: Measure from one shoulder’s edge to the other at the back’s rear.
Cuffs: Measure from one edge to the other of a flat wrist.
Waist: The measurement of the shoulder is taken from the base of the neck to the shoulder tip.
