Tips for Buying Apparel

These tips can help you buy more efficiently and increase your revenues.

Buying for Men

Men should choose styles labeled as “men sizes.” Golf-cut models in the adult category are better suited for heavier-built men.

Buying for Ladies

Women’s should choose styles labeled as “women sizes”. If the ladies on your team prefer the mens or the adult sizes, order one size down from their usual womens size.

Buying for Groups

Use these general percentage charts shown below to estimate how many of each size you will need to order for your group.

For each size, you can simply multiply the percentage shown in the Chart by the total number of people in your group to find out your buying amounts.

These are just general suggestions, so use them simply as a starting point to figure out the required numbers. Group sizes might vary greatly from one another.

Waist: Measure the height at which pants are usually worn. Keep the tape loose enough to be comfortable.

Sleeve: With hands on hips, measure from middle of back of neck across shoulder, to elbow and down to wrist.

Inseam: Measure the inseam of pants that matches your preferred style and length, from the hem to the crotch seam.

Bust: Take the measurement around your upper body. Put the tape under your arms and over the fullest section of your chest. Make sure to keep your arms down at your sides.

Waist: Wrap the tape around your natural waistline and take the measurement.

Hips: Put your feet side by side and take the measurement around the widest section of your hips.
