Standard Apparel Components

A soccer kit is formally defined by FIFA Law 4. Each element is required for all players or permitted under specific conditions.

Top — Jersey / Shirt

Primary identity garment. Must display the player’s number on the back in a contrasting color, matching the team’s registered colors.

Main match jersey — home and away required
Goalkeeper jersey — must contrast all outfield players and referee
Compression base layer — optional; visible sleeve must match outer jersey

Colors & differentiation
